Archives
This page takes you to the old site I hand coded in 1995/1996 on a NeXTstation. It contains most of the old issues of MiCMAC before issue 8. The following issues were not transferred to the web because the archives on diskettes (even the best Sony brand!) were probably destroyed by cosmic rays… I would have to use optical recognition to work on the following issues. It could be possible today with the latest technology (only time needed) but it was not possible then (anyway most of the printed issues are still available as they were issued originally. If you are interested, just contact me).

Some graphic differences are explained by the fact that before the issue 7, I had absolutely no conscience of graphic I.D. and are here to reflect a little the freewheeling style I used then.
This old site is completely made with frames. It was the only way to design pages at the time. That was a manual process but it still works. I’m sorry, no smart quotes were used since, although these were working very well with Omniweb (the best browser at the time but only available on NeXT), the site was optimized for Internet Explorer, the dominant browser then… For the same reason the french punctuation was not respected because that thing could not read non-breaking spaces. And I preferred of course to use the english punctuation (sort of).
